6/30/2009 - Hazmat - I-476 Northbound / I-76 Westbound ramp
 
At 14:57 hours.  Stations 43, 39(George Clay) and Delco 15(Radnor) were dispatched for a vehicle rescue involving a tractor trailer with a possible Hazardous Material leak.  The incident occurred on the I-476 Northbound ramp onto I-76 West.  First arriving units found a tractor trailer overturned on the ramp and spilled its contents of hydrofluoric acid.  The driver of the vehicle was removed via the front windshield and transported by means of ground due to severe storms.  Rescue and Squirt 43 assisted with decontamination, hazard identification and stood by for emergency assistance.
