6/1/2009 - Vehicle Leaking Fuel 16.7 Northbound I-476
 
At 23:47 hrs. Stations 43 and 39 were dispatched for a Vehicle Leaking Fuel northbound at mile marker 16.7 of I-476.  Pennsylvania State Police arrived on scene and reported  a tractor trailer leaking diesel fuel from their saddle tank over two lanes of the highway.  Squad 39-1 and Chief 39 arrived and began to apply oil dry to the spilt fuel for containment and notified PennDot for proper clean up and traffic control. Squirt 43 arrived shortly after to aide in the spill control. Deputy Chief 43 (Maxwell) had command of 43 Units. No serviced were needed from the 43 crew and were cleared and made available at 23:55.
